David Morton

Editor David Morton received the second annual $25,000 Henry Hope Reed Award for outstanding contributions to the welfare of the traditional city and its architecture. As a senior editor at Rizzoli International Publications since 1987, Mr. Morton has been responsible for acquiring and developing architecture-related titles. A member of the Institute for Classical Architecture, he has overseen titles such as Samuel White's The Houses of McKim Mead & White and Masterpieces of Chicago Architecture by John Zukowsky.

Mr. Morton served as executive editor at Progressive Architecture Magazine, and held the same position at Oppositions: A Journal for Ideas and Criticism in Architecture published by Rizzoli for the Institute for Architecture and Urban Studies in New York. He joined Rizzoli International Publications in 1987 as the senior editor for architecture, where he has been responsible for acquiring and overseeing titles that showcase the work of the most eminent architects of our time.
