Alejandro Douglas Duany has worked on many pivotal architectural and urban projects that have put him at the forefront of his field. He received his Master's degree in Landscape Architecture from Harvard Graduate School of Design in 1990. Previous to that, he had designed and executed private landscapes as well as developing the public spaces and landscapes of Seaside. Duany has been involved in urban design projects in over 10 countries and 30 states while maintaining an intermittent landscape practice. He has taught as a visiting professor of architecture at the University of Miami and the University of Florida.
