The School of Architecture is pleased to announce the following faculty hires and promotions beginning July 1, 2023.
Ming Hu joins the faculty as Associate Professor with Tenure and Associate Dean of Research, Scholarship and Creative Work. Ming received her M.Arch degree from the University of Notre Dame and her PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Maryland. Her record of research, teaching, and service is stellar, and we are delighted to welcome her back to her alma mater to join the School of Architecture faculty in this leadership role.
Alessandro Pierattini has been promoted to Associate Professor with Tenure. Alessandro earned his PhD in Architectural History from La Sapienza University in Rome, Italy. He joined the School of Architecture as an assistant professor in 2015 and has greatly enriched the School, University, and academy at large through teaching and service, as well as his remarkable research record. We congratulate him on his promotion to the tenured faculty!
Giuseppe Mazzone has been promoted to Associate Teaching Professor. Giuseppe received his PhD from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. Since joining the School of Architecture he has demonstrated excellence in teaching and service, including an effective transformation of the graphics curriculum as well as a leadership role in the School's Career Discovery Summer Program. We congratulate him on his promotion.
