Thomas Boyle '18 - Civic Club Of Chicago

Architecture alumni Thomas Boyle ‘18 and Avani Agarwal ‘19 were honored recently at the 2019 Institute of Classical Architecture and Art (ICAA) Acanthus Awards. Boyle and Agarwal received awards in the category of Student Design Project for their fifth-year thesis projects, with Boyle designing The Civic Club of Chicago and Agarwal a Center for the Arts & Culture at the People's Capital of Amaravati, India.

The Acanthus Awards are presented annually to design professionals and students who practice in the Midwest or completed work focused on the Midwestern region.  The ICAA Chicago-Midwest honors work from a variety of categories including architecture, interior design, preservation & restoration, landscape design, the allied arts & craftsmanship, unbuilt work and student work.
