With a prime real estate spot on the National Mall for three days in June, Professor of the Practice and Director of the Housing & Community Regeneration Initiative Marianne Cusato showcased her new model dubbed the “White House” as part of an exhibition hosted by HUD and the National Association of Home Builders.

Cusato put a spotlight on issues around disaster housing with two goals: To reach policymakers about necessary changes in disaster relief policy that enable faster and more permanent housing solutions, and to design and deploy a panelized concept home that could be built easily and efficiently.
