Biography
Nikolai Grigorevskii is an architect, educator, and researcher specializing in traditional and classical architecture, architectural representation, and design pedagogy. He currently serves as a Postdoctoral Research Associate and instructor at the University of Notre Dame School of Architecture, where he teaches second-year architectural design and contributes to the development of curriculum in architectural drawing and representation.
Grigorevskii holds a Master of Architecture and Urbanism from the University of Notre Dame and a Bachelor of Architecture with Honors from the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts. Prior to joining Notre Dame, he practiced architecture in New York City and St. Petersburg, including work with Ferguson & Shamamian Architects and Maxim Atayants Architects.
His teaching and research explore architectural drawing as a tool of design thinking and investigate the historical evolution of architectural representation, its relationship to architectural practice, and its continuing role in contemporary architectural education.
