Christian Orme

Biography

Christian Orme is an architectural associate at Historical Concepts, an Atlanta-based firm specializing in traditional residential design and urban planning, where he takes an active role in mentoring the firm's incoming architectural interns. He holds degrees from the Brigham Young University School of Music (BA in Piano Performance) and the University of Notre Dame Graduate School of Architecture (M.Arch). His master's thesis, focusing on the renewal of the Lone Mountain neighborhood in Las Vegas, Nevada, won the Dean's Graduate Award for Design Excellence in Architecture and the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art's 2024 Philip Trammell Shutze Award for Student/Emerging Professional.

Christian is an active member of the ICAA Southeast Chapter and was recently awarded the 2025 Kyle D. Taylor Memorial Scholarship for Architectural Studies, which supported his research into architect John Russell Pope's residential and civic works in and around Washington, D.C.

Christian's background in music composition continues to inform his approach to architectural practice — an attentiveness to proportion, rhythm, and hierarchy in the built environment.
