Tiffany Abernathy, '03
Michael C. Duda Visiting Professor of the Practice
Tiffany Abernathy is a graduate of the University of Miami School of Architecture and the University of Notre Dame Graduate School of Architecture (class of 2003). Having moved to London to join Porphyrios Associates and their Whitman College, Princeton project team, she later joined John Simpson Architects. In 2005 she received the inaugural Rieger-Graham Prize from the ICAA & completed her Rome Prize Fellowship in 2006.
Abernathy has worked on many projects for JSA including the Carhart Mansion on East 95th Street and The Stanhope in New York, as well as the new masterplan at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford. While finishing her postgraduate diploma at the Architectural Association in 2014, she returned to JSA as Director of US Projects for the new Walsh Family Hall of Architecture. She’s currently coordinating the publication of two new books on the practice, one of which focuses on the new Notre Dame School of Architecture, released in February 2021. She is licensed to practice in the state of NY and recently became a Fellow at the Royal Society for Arts, Manufacturers and Commerce who have been at the forefront of significant social impact for over 260 years.
