Join the School of Architecture for a lecture by Jorge, Sophia, and Fernanda Loyzaga, Loyzaga Design, Mexico City, Mexico.
Jorge, Sophia, and Fernanda Loyzaga present the work and philosophy of Loyzaga Design, the Mexico City practice founded by their father, architect Jorge Loyzaga. Rooted in a lifelong passion for classical design, heritage, and craftsmanship, the studio has built a multidisciplinary practice spanning architecture, interiors, furniture, and the decorative arts. Through a selection of projects, this lecture explores how classical principles, Mexican history, local traditions, and craftsmanship continue to shape the studio today, and how this legacy can be carried forward while remaining deeply rooted in history and relevant to the present.
