Recognized as one of the 100 Most Influential People in AI in 2024, Ben Y. Zhao will discuss the dual nature of AI’s impact today—both the real harms arising from misuse and the protective benefits AI can offer. The lecture will also explore ways of evaluating emerging research directions through an ethical, downstream lens.
