Michael G. Imber, Architects, PLLC, is a modern classical design firm based in San Antonio, Texas. We are a studio of diverse individuals with advanced studies in traditional architecture who look to promote an American architecture reflective of our cultural history and modern lifestyles. We are a nationally recognized, award winning firm and currently have projects across the country - from California to Maine, Colorado, Arkansas, South Carolina, and throughout Texas, as well as Costa Rica - to name just a few places where we work. We recently opened an office in San Francisco to better serve our California clients.

Position Description:

We are looking for a full time Architectural staff member to join our team. Our office consists of 15 people is based in San Antonio, Texas. Our ideal candidate will be a team player who is comfortable with assuming responsibility, leadership and has the ability to multi-task. You and your team will have responsibility from the schematic design stage through construction administration, understanding of the scope of the project, the budget constraints and the project timetable.

Candidate Qualifications:

Our ideal candidate would be a registered Architect--or someone actively working towards a license--with at least 2-3 years of professional experience as a Production Architect. BARCH with experience in traditional and classical standards required. We are looking for a candidate with the following traits; professional demeanor, exceptional time management, working computer skills, motivated, driven, high level of integrity and a strong work ethic. Establishing and maintaining client relationships is expected.

Prefer a candidate with interests in interpretation of historic precedents, urban planning and new urbanism as well as an understanding of building craft, materials, and the process of traditional design. Strong drawing skills to communicate and visualize spaces a plus. Ability to develop 3-D models and work in AutoCAD, Revit and Sketchup preferred. Freehand drawing, rendering and watercolor skills a plus.
