Nathaniel Savona, B.Arch ’10, took third place in Taylor University’s sixth annual business plan competition this May. Savona’s retail gelato concept, Le Coppe Gelato, won $1,000 that will be used for the development of the business in Indiana. 

The competition was based on a written business plan as well as a 30-minute presentation followed by a question-and-answer session. Savona’s plan expands on the business he currently owns in Lakeside, Ohio. 

“This competition has been a great experience in learning the intricacies of developing a business plan,” says Savona. “It has been a valuable opportunity for those of us with a passion for entrepreneurship to share our ideas and develop them to a point of viability.”
