Springbrook Apartments at East Gate Park

Fifth-year students under the direction of Professor John Stamper designed an apartment complex on the site of a former department store. The site is bordered on three sides by single-family residential neighborhoods, and on the fourth side by an aging commercial zone. The apartment buildings the students designed were intended to be an integral part of a new neighborhood, enhancing what was there, helping to expand the life of the adjacent neighborhoods, and forming an appropriate transition to the existing commercial area.
